A Guide Through Grief: Honoring “Motherless Daughters” this Mothers Day

In light of Mother’s Day quickly approaching, I want to highlight one of the most important books for women who have lost their mothers at any age: Motherless Daughters: The Legacy of Loss by Hope Edelman.  This is an insightful book with a wealth of anecdotal evidence from the author and other women’s stories of loss, interwoven with psychological research around grief and bereavement.  Grief often makes us feel alone, adrift at sea, and this book is a cathartic and helpful guidepost for my fellow grievers.

If you are a fellow griever Elizabeth would love to walk beside you through your Grief. Check back for more book selections from our other therapists and more windows into our practice.
